Pastor's Reflection 2025-03-27

Easter is the heart of our Christian faith—a powerful reminder that life, not death, has the final word. In the resurrection of Jesus, we find hope that new beginnings are always possible. No matter how heavy the burdens we carry or how broken the world may seem, Easter declares that God is in the business of making all things new.

When Mary Magdalene arrived at the tomb on that first Easter morning, she expected to find death. Instead, she encountered the risen Christ and a whole new reality. That same promise of new life extends to us today. Easter isn’t just an ancient story—it’s an invitation. It invites us to believe that our lives, no matter how stuck or weary or broken, can be refreshed and renewed by God’s grace.

Perhaps there’s an area of your life that feels like a sealed tomb. Perhaps there is a relationship that need healing, a dream that you’ve set aside, or a faith that’s grown dim. Easter reminds us that it’s never too late to begin again. Just as God rolled away the stone from Jesus’ tomb, God can roll away the barriers that keep us from living fully and joyfully. God can help us to Let Go and a renewed life which will enable us to Live Lightly.

This Easter season, I encourage you to reflect on where you need a fresh start. Is there a resentment you want to release? A calling you feel nudged to pursue? A relationship in need of reconciliation? Let the power of Christ’s resurrection inspire you to step into something new.

May we all embrace Easter as more than a day of celebration. May it be a season where we open our hearts to God’s transforming love; a love that renews us, breathes life into weary souls, and reminds us that nothing is beyond the reach of resurrection.

Christ is risen! He is risen indeed!
