2024 Charge Conference report – Wesley Ukulele Band
The Wesley Ukulele Band, was founded in 2004 for fun and fellowship. We perform at Wesley United Methodist Church, senior centers, and at various community events like Cherry Blossom Festivals, and more!
We currently have more than 25 members with membership still growing. Rehearsals are held on the second Sunday of every month except in May (3rd Sunday) or when Easter falls on the second Sunday.
This year we have started a children’s ukulele class and we have 14 students. Mark Teagle, Smiley Kai, and Tina Urata are the instructors. Some of our students have played at All Church Camp and Aki Matsuri.
Here is a list of our activities for the year and the great number of people we have reached with our music ministry.
We do not charge for performances and we donate the occasional honorarium to Wesley UMC to support the music ministry.
