Uplifting words
these are the comforting words of Bishop Kenneth Levingston in the wake of the 2016 election:
"We will shake the dust of disappointment from our clothes and engage the powers of this world with God's never ending call to let justice roll down like a mighty stream. We will continue to struggle in the sanctuary and streets with, for and on behalf of the least of these. We will tutor and mentor in our neighborhood schools and provide tangible hope for our communities. We will follow Jesus and do what Jesus did, love, serve, reach and teach. We will still feed the hungry, clothe the naked, minister to the sick and visit the imprisoned. We will still tell a dying world about the grace, truth and love of Jesus Christ for all people. We will do more for others even if we have less than ever. We are reminded that while the march to justice is opposed on every side, justice can only be delayed, it cannot be denied."
