Ivan in "The Heights"

On August 3rd, our very own Praise Band lead singer, Ivan Vielma was seen as "Piragua Guy" in Lin-Manual Miranda's "Washington Heights" musical production held at the Crocker Theater at Cabrillo College, and Wow...can he sing and dance! The high energy performance by this relatively youthful cast, included bilingual rap and Latin dancing was an exciting show many of us didn't missed.

A few of us were able to give high-fives and accolades to Ivan for his performance after shown here with Barbara Hiura, Barbara Mulford, Terri Koike an Bev Acuna.
