High-Fives to Rev. John Oda and Mark Teagle

It was a banner and God praiseworthy day when Wesley celebrated the reappointment of Rev. John Oda as our pastor for another year by the Bishop of our conference and we celebrated on July 26. However, the God sent  highlight moment this day was directed at Mark Teagle.  While he’s been on staff for the past 13 years as first our music ministry director and then a full-time staff member as the Director of Spiritual Formation, Community Engagement and Music (wow…super long title), he has now been appointed to our church by our Bishop Dottie Escobedo-Frank.  We congratulate Mark for taking that giant step for now being in the ordination process toward becoming a Deacon.  This is a move  for Mark and we celebrate him as this is the final stage of a process that began several years ago. Because of his appointment, he is no longer “hired" by Wesley.
