The Annual Primetimers Christmas Party
What is not to like about the Primetimer Christmas Party. Not only is it a staple during our holiday season, it is a sought after event. The food is perhaps the best offerings from the church. These folks really know how to cook. And the desserts...Wow! I mean even guava cupcakes. Along with the tasty food to inspire one's palate, there was entertainment from the Wesley Ukulele Band to bring Christmas music to fill one's ears, and hula to fill one's sight. Then of course, there were games to make one think. This always generates buzz. Special this year was the "Stump Mark Hector" competition. To begin his stint, Hector told stories of interesting respiratory clients whose lives and character were inspirational. But most hilarious was how often he was stumped by the truth and lies told by the participants. Our Primetimers have perfected the art of telling both truths and lies with a very straight and honest face. It certainly was a full afternoon of food, fun, and games and it was all quite delightful.

The Wesley Ukulele Band performed a Christmas set which included beautiful hula dancers and a sing-along.

Jean Yamaguchi won a prize for guessing exactly the number of items inside a walnut. Can you believe there were 33 items in a very tiny nut.

Holding a paper plate over their head, they were assigned to draw the face of Santa. Oh my, the results were hilarious, but Yumi Haraguchi was a clear winner. Nice job!

Another game was one which participants tried to stump Hector with a truth and a lie. Poor Hector shown here with Leighton Horio.

Winning a prize for stumping Hector was Virginia Bailey.
