Rev. John's Stewardship Letter

Dear Wesley UMC Members and Friends,
I hope this letter finds you well and surrounded by God’s grace. As we begin our 2025 Stewardship Campaign, I am grateful and hopeful for what God is doing in and through Wesley. Our theme this year, “Enough: Trusting the God Who Provides,” is grounded in the promise of 2 Corinthians 9:8, “And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”
In a world that constantly tells us we need more, this scripture reminds us that in God, we already have enough—and more than enough—to live, to love, and to serve. Out of that confidence, we are freed to be generous.
Because of your giving, Wesley continues to be a place of welcome, healing, and hope. Your generosity supports worship, outreach, justice and compassion ministries, care for children and elders, and the everyday work of being the church in Japantown and beyond.
As we move into this season, I invite you to prayerfully consider how you might grow in trust and generosity—through your prayers, your presence, your service, and your financial gifts. Together, let’s lean into the truth that God provides enough, so that we may abound in every good work.
Thank you for your faith, your generosity, and your love for this church family.
In Christ’s love,
Rev. John Oda
Senior Pastor
