Prayer Quilts for the Umbrella Ministry

“Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.” Phillippians 2:4
Earlier this month four United Women in Faith members from Wesley United Methodist Church travelled to Sacramento United Methodist Church to attend their November 1, Rummage Sale.
One of the treasured items discovered at the sale was a huge quantity of beautifully hand crocheted granny squares.
Brought back to Wesley UMC, these granny squares were shown to Mayumi Miyakawa and Cynthia Fukuda who turned them into three lovely prayer quilts!!
These quilts will be given to the Umbrella Ministry who is still visiting people who are home bound. The Ministry has been down to one or two prayer quilts, so they can definitely use these new additions. Thank you, Mayumi and Cynthia, for offering your time and skills in putting these quilts together.
God is very pleased when we consider the needs and concerns of others first in one’s actions and use of time!
