Wesley members support PACT Luncheon Oct. 14

With tables sponsored by our Missions and Compassion Committees, a number of Wesley folks were there to support PACT (People Acting in Community Together) at their 40th Anniversary Luncheon on Tuesday, October 14 at the Mexican Heritage Plaza in east San Jose. Staff member Mark Teagle, who serves as Co-Chair of the PACT Board was one of the Emcees of the event. PACT shared their mission of grassroots community-based interfaith organizing on issues like immigration and housing. They also recognized the Immigration Protection and Empowerment Network coming out of Amigos de Guadalupe as well as philanthropist John A. Sobrato for his lifetime of community service. More than 300 people attended the luncheon.
