El Camino Real District Celebration

The El Camino Real District Celebration was held at Los Altos United Methodist Church on Sept. 27th.  It was a wonderful day of worship, learning, and connection. Two of the three engaging workshops offered were led by Wesley people.  One led by Aton Abril, the El Camino Real District Lay Leader - on “Discipleship”. He focused on deepening faith and nurturing spiritual growth.  Another was led by Hikaru Bakoshi and Mark Teagle on “Improving Your Church’s Online Presence,” which gave practical tools for strengthening digital ministry. During worship, Bishop Sandy Olewine preached an inspiring message, District Superintendent Samuel Hong shared greetings, and our own Rev. John Oda offered a heartfelt prayer. The food was delicious, and special thanks go to Wesley’s Kelli Martines and Los Altos UMC’s Margie Wong for their outstanding work organizing this event.
