Compassion Event Draws Volunteers

On Sunday, September 21, more than 20 volunteers gathered to support Wesley's Compassion Ministries. Special projects included packing dry bags of canned goods for our neighbors, pairing donated socks for the unhoused, preparing egg cartons for distribution, and general cleanup at Compassion Workshop. "We wanted to give  an opportunity to serve for people who cannot come Tuesday or Friday mornings," noted Compassion Chair Clarissa Johnston-Abril. Lori Longmire and Brian Hamilton led the food packing. Special thanks to Lilian Flores who invited several Grant Elementary families to come help. "The families just wanted to show their thanks by giving back," Lilian said. Compassion hopes to have more events like this in the future.
