A memorial lunch held in honor of Rosie Shimonishi was held at church, hosted by the Shimonishi family shown here from left: Conan and Lori Low, with their children, Kazumi and Rinji, and Grandpa Warren between the children and all remembering grandmother Rosie.

This is a beautiful Shimonishi family portrait of young love, marriage, children, travels, and celebrations which graced the front door of our church Fellowship doors as members walked by after service.

And was the topic of conversation in remembering Rosie and looking at a life well-lived. From left: Joy Bayler, Karen Mikami, Bev Lovass, and Violeta and Erwin Polar share memories.

A tasty and colorful lunch of Chinese cuisine along with a fruit plate from Judie Kanemoto and a spinach bread bowl were special additions to this tasty meal. Oh and yes, there was dessert to sweeten and complete the meal.

We thank the Memorial Committee for hosting, serving this meal many of whom you see standing and eating their lunch. They stayed to clean up. A few were from left: Amy Shiozaki, Mary Horio, Judy Kanemoto, Bev Acuna, and Joanne Kumano.

Ordering and making sure everything was ready for patrons were from left, Mary Sasaki, Barbara Mulford, and Marcia Yasukawa. Stella Gonzalez was helping in the back.

And always, there’s Wayne Kuwada, our resident dish washer, cleaning dishes. I believe he's the only one who knows how to run that dishwasher unit.
