NJAUMC Asian American Summer Camp

NJAUMC Asian American Summer Camp
— Rev. John Oda
On July 3 and 4th, I spent two unforgettable days at the NJAUMC Asian Camp held at Camp Wrightwood in Southern California. It was a vibrant, faith focused space where this year 70+ youth (both middle school and high school aged) connected, reflected, grew spiritually in a community and had a lot of fun doing it. I also had the privilege of being with 16 amazing campers from Wesley UMC and Buena Vista UMC as I escorted them from Asian Camp, to the Ontario Airport and back to San Jose. The theme of this year’s camp was "Kaleidoscope – Ever Changing, Endless Possibilities," and it reminded us that every person and action is a unique part in God’s larger design.  It was humbling to witness how the campers’ diverse experiences contributed to one another’s faith journeys!
